We are pleased to announce that Alusín Solar is in the European top, as it has been mentioned as one of the top 17 European Solar Mounting Structures Manufacturers in Europe in the SolarPower Europe report.
“In Europe, the solar structure manufacturing segment is dominated by local manufacturers, with more than 40 companies active in the market, from large global leaders (in fixed structures, trackers, roofs, BIPV, agrivoltaic or floating) to companies specialized in niches. Among them, the recognition of Alusín Solar as one of the 17 most important companies in the European Union in the sector stands out, a unique case because, unlike most of its competitors, it does not belong to any investment group and has reached this leading position while maintaining 100% of its own capital and management”, Javier Fernández-Font proudly stated.
Solar Power Europe
SolarPower Europe is the leading European association for solar photovoltaics. It represents more than 300 organizations from across the solar energy value chain. Its mission is to ensure that solar energy becomes Europe’s main energy source by 2030.
The study shows that Spain and Germany account for 60% of the manufacturers of solar structures, among which the company Alusín Solar from Avilés is already a reference. And in the case of trackers, Spain is the European leader and one of the world centers. There is also the presence of multinationals such as Nextracker (USA) or Trina Tracker (China) with production in Europe.
Fabrication is mostly with galvanized steel and aluminum, with well-developed supply chains in the EU. However, “pressure from cheaper imports, mainly from Asia, is of concern because of its impact on quality and resilience, and is exacerbated by the lack of specific customs codes that allow clear monitoring of international trade,” the report states.
